Zeke

Zeke was my first dog who adopted me. I heard of him through a friend and that he needed a new home. The owners were nice people, but they got Zeke the same time they had their first child and did not have the time to devote to him. When I drove out to meet him we bonded and I knew we would have many good adventures together. I loaded up his food and opened my truck door and he jumped in wagging his tail with that big Labrador smile.

I was not really prepared for a dog in my life but Zeke helped me with the transition. It was as if he was telling me “this is what we will do together” and we proceeded to have many adventures together. He loved to swim so we went out to the river often. He enjoyed our long hikes in the woods and he greeted everyone with a lick and a cold nose.

Zeke was a big gentle dog and loved his food. He would tear apart a squeaky in minutes though, most only lasting a short time. He also enjoyed a good stick to chew on.
